Marvyn Harrison Author

Marvyn Harrison is a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Consultant and the founder Dope Black Dads, a support group and podcast that works to challenge outdated stereotypes about Black fatherhood and cultivating a progressive, inclusive community of parents. Marvyn previously has had a long career in music and advertising, spending over a decade in the industry working with a variety of clients, from artists such as Ed Sheeran and Samsung to Manchester City Football Club.
He started Dope Black Dads on Father's Day 2018, when it was made up of him and his friends sharing their experiences and challenges as Black fathers in a WhatsApp and Facebook group. Today, the organization has reached tens of thousands of people across the UK, US and South Africa, won awards, and created a global collective of mums, dads, queer, disabled, men and women community groups.
Marvyn lives in London and has two children, Blake and Ocean, who star in his picture book I Love Me! and with whom he does confidence-boosting affirmations everyday.

Diane Ewen was born in Walsall, in the West Midlands. She has always loved art, and graduated from the University of Wolverhampton with a B.A. Honours Degree in Illustration. Diane likes to create illustrations that are hand-drawn in pencil, which she paints in watercolour and acrylics before embellishing them using Photoshop, but she also enjoys working directly on the computer screen to create her characters and designs.
Diane loves working in illustration, liking the fact that the artwork is often the first thing that draws children into a book, and finding inspiration in the use of vibrant colour. With her dynamic style and characters that leap and cartwheel off the page, she is one of England's most fun and exciting illustration talents.
