Prakash Kumar Sarangi, PhD, is a Scientist with specialization in Microbiology at the Central Agricultural University in India. His research focuses on bioprocess engineering, microbial bioconversion, biochemicals, biomaterials, and rural development. He has published more than 50 peer-reviewed journal articles and 40 book chapters. He is the editor of several books for Springer, CRC Press, and IK International Publishing House. He is a fellow of the Society for Applied Biotechnology and a life member of the Biotech Research Society of India; Society for Biotechnologists of India; Association of Microbiologists of India; Indian Science Congress Association; Forum of Scientists, Engineers and Technologists; and International Association of Academicians and Researchers. He has been a guest editor for the journals Biofuels, Bioproducts and Biorefinery; Chemical Engineering and Technology; and Biomass Conversion and Biorefinery. Dr. Sarangi is an Editor of PLOS One and Associate Editor of several reputed journals, such as Critical Reviews in Biotechnology; Biofuels, Bioproducts and Biorefinery; and 3 Biotech. He received his PhD in Microbial Biotechnology from Ravenshaw University in India.

Krushna Prasad Shadangi, PhD, is serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering at Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology, Burla, Odisha, India. He has eight years of teaching experience. His expertise is in the area of biofuels, especially thermocatalytic and co-conversion of biomass, successive utilization of waste plastic for biofuel upgrading, plastics to fuels, chemical kinetics, conversion of liquid wastes to fuels, and removal of heavy metals from waste water. He has contributed 20 book chapters in edited books (Scopus indexed) and published 27 international peer-reviewed SCI journals (Elsevier, Wiley, Springer, AIP), with more than 690 citations of his work. He edited the book Liquid Biofuels: Fundamentals, Characterization and Application, published by Wiley in 2021. He has edited a special issue "Biorefinery Solutions for Bio-Methanol Production and Processing" in the Journal of Biomass Conversion and Biorefinery (Springer Nature). Some of his research contributions were also presented at various national and international conferences, both in India and elsewhere. He earned his PhD in Chemical Engineering at IIT Guwahati, Guwahati, India.

Pravakar Mohanty, PhD, is a Scientist in the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, in New Delhi, India. He was the recipient of a Commonwealth Scholarship by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission of Canada to conduct research at the University of Saskatchewan, Canada. Dr. Mohanty has also worked at the European Bioenergy Research Institute (EBRI) at Aston University, Birmingham, UK. He received the prestigious HOAP Research Award on renewable energy (Young Scientist Award 2014) and Dr. A.V. Rama Rao Foundation’s Best PhD Thesis and Research Award in Chemical Engineering and Technology (2015) from the Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers (IIChE). He has more than 30 peer-reviewed international journal articles and five book chapters to his credit. He has more than 15 years of research experience in research and development, technology transfer, knowledge translation, implementation and management of different projects related to the development of fuel products, bulk and ?ne chemicals, active pharmaceutical ingredients, and food processing agents and materials. Dr. Mohanty is an expert researcher on different biomass-to-liquid, biomass-to-gas, and gas-to-liquid conversion technologies, including pyrolysis, gasification, Fischer-Tropsch synthesis, syngas production, natural gas processing, and other processes relating to clean energy concept. Dr. Mohanty has a PhD degree in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, India.

Sanjukta Subudhi, PhD, is Senior Fellow & Area Convener, Microbial Biofuels and Bio-chemicals Area, & DBT-TERI Center of Excellence on Advanced Biofuels, Advanced Biofuels Division, New Delhi, India, where she leads the Advanced Microbial Biofuel and Biochemical Research Group. The research explorations of her group span the domain of microbial production of clean fuel (biohydrogen biomethane, biobutanol from 1st, 2nd, and 3rd generation feed stocks) and green chemicals (2,3 butane diol, lactic acids, lipases, bioflucculants). She had the opportunity to work in several bilateral and multilateral collaborative research projects. She has over 100 research publications, conference papers, and proceedings to her name, which includes 47 high-impact factor peer-reviewed international publications, four patents, and three book chapters. She is the guest editor of the journal Biofuels, Bioproducts and Biorefinery as well as editor of various journals. She is a member of several professional bodies. She obtained her PhD in Molecular Microbiology from the University of Delhi, India, and pursued her postdoctoral research in Algal Biotechnology at the National Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (BIOTEC), National Agency for Science and Technology Development (NSTDA), Bangkok, Thailand.
