Premasis Sukul Author

Premasis Sukul, a retired Professor, received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry from Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi. He has earned a wide range of research experience on pesticide analysis in different environmental compartments with a focus on environmental risk assessment. He worked as Professor and Dean in the School of Agricultural Sciences, Swami Vivekananda University, Kolkata, as an Associate Dean at Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya, Burdwan campus; as Professor at Lovely Professional University, Phagwara; as Professor at Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya, Mohanpur main campus, Nadia; as Senior Research Scientist at the Institute of Environmental Science (INFU), Technical University of Dortmund, Germany; as Deputy General Manager, Interfield laboratory, Cochin, and as Product Development Executive at Jai Chemicals, Faridabad. Besides, he gathered research experiences by carrying out postdoctoral studies as DAAD Scholar at GSF Institute, Munich and as Alexander von Humboldt Scholar at Kassel University and Dortmund University, Germany. He mentored several M.Sc. and Ph.D. students as their supervisor. His numerous publications as original research papers, review papers and several book chapters in national and internationally reputable books and journals bear witness to his successful academic and research career. Recently, the book Soil Chemistry and Plant Nutrients, authored by him, has been published by New India Publishing Agency, New Delhi.
