Richard Kurti studied at Cambridge then worked at the BBC, which led to a career as a screen writer. Richard’s film writing includes 14 commissions for US studios (Universal, Warner Bros, Miramax) and UK companies (Working Title and Pathe). His TV writing includes BBC adaptations of Kidnapped and Sherlock Holmes, episodes of Robin Hood, Primeval, Sinbad, Wolfblood, and a large-scale adaptation of Terry Pratchett’s Going Postal. These shows have earned widespread industry recognition with BAFTA nominations and RTS Awards. In 2013, Richard branched out into new areas, with a radio dramatization of The Martian Chronicles. Monkey Wars, his debut novel, was nominated for the CILIP Carnegie Medal. He lives in Essex.
