Saba Khursheed Khan, PhD, has completed her PhD in Zoology with a specialization in fish nanotechnology at the School of Bioengineering and Biosciences, Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab, India. Her doctoral research focused on investigating the single and combined effects of silver and copper nanoparticles on the hematological and biochemical parameters, antioxidant status, gene expression, and histological analysis of gills and liver in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) fingerlings. Through this work, she aimed to elucidate the toxicity, bioaccumulation, and ecological impact of nanomaterials in aquatic ecosystems, providing valuable insights into the environmental safety and biological interactions of engineered nanomaterials. Khan has an impressive academic and research profile, having published more than 20 high-quality research papers, review articles, and book chapters in internationally reputed, peer-reviewed journals. Her scholarly contributions address critical issues in nanotoxicology, aquatic toxicology, and environmental sustainability, reflecting both depth and innovation in her field. In addition to her publications, she has actively participated in numerous national and international conferences, seminars, workshops, and symposia, where she has presented her research findings and engaged in meaningful scientific discourse. Notably, she presented her work at the Society of Toxicology (STOX) Conference, India, in 2024. She has received best paper presentation awards at prestigious scientific gatherings. Prior to her PhD, Dr. Khan completed her MPhil in Zoology at CT University, Ludhiana, Punjab, India. As an editor and researcher, Dr. Khan brings a wealth of expertise, insightful perspectives, and a collaborative spirit.
