Sam Turner Author & Editor

Sam Turner is Senior Lecturer in Archaeology at Newcastle University. He is currently Editor for the Medieval Settlement Research Group. His research interests include the long-term history of landscapes since the Roman period and medieval archaeology, in particular early medieval religion. His current and recent projects include work at and around Bede’s monastery of Wearmouth-Jarrow, research on early medieval churches and landscapes in Ireland, and studies of medieval and later landscapes in Greece and Turkey.
