Sebastian Strobl Author

M. A. Michael studied Art History and Architecture at the University of East Anglia, Norwich, and gained his doctorate at Westfield College, University of London. He is now Academic Director at Christie’s and a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries, both in London.

Dr Sebastian Strobl trained as a Master Glazier and later earned a doctorate in History of Art at the University of Cologne, Germany, writing his thesis on medieval stained-glass techniques. From 1990 to 2005 he directed the stained-glass conservation programme at Canterbury Cathedral.
