Bruce Clarke is Paul Whitfield Horn Distinguished Professor of Literature and Science at Texas Tech University and a Baruch S. Blumberg/NASA Chair in Astrobiology at the Library of Congress. His research focuses on 19th and 20th century literature and science, and he has authored/edited fifteen books including the Cambridge Companion to Literature and the Posthuman (2017). Sébastien Dutreuil is a researcher at the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) in the Centre Gilles Gaston Granter at Aix-Marseille Université. He trained in the Earth sciences, earned a PhD in history and philosophy of science dedicated to Gaia and Earth system science before working at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science. His research focuses on the history and philosophy of the Earth sciences.
