Sharifa Stevens Author

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. (1929-1968), civil rights leader and recipient of the Nobel Prize for Peace, inspired and sustained the struggle for freedom, nonviolence, interracial brotherhood, and equality. Lisa A. Crayton is a versatile nonfiction editor and writer with more than 30 years’ experience. She writes devotionals, articles, Bible study guides, and nonfiction titles for adults and children. Lisa has an MFA in creative writing, is a coregional advisor for her local SCBWI chapter, and is participating in Alfred Street’s “Minister in Training” program. Sharifa Stevens is the daughter of Jamaican immigrants. She has earned a bachelor degree in African American Studies and a master in theology. Sharifa aspires to use writing as a vehicle that moves readers to intersect with the sacred and the honest. Sharifa is married to a Renaissance man and mother to two lively boys. They live in Dallas, TX Camilla Ru is a Zimbabwean-British illustrator and designer. Her work incorporates her African roots as well as her love of vibrant patterns and colors and her passion for connecting people through representation. She enjoys exploring various forms of creativity and welcomes inspirations from life’s experiences to tell stories, expand imaginations, and inspire joy. She has had the privilege of working on various projects, from editorial work to literary work, promotional artwork, and more.
