Stephanie van den Bergh was born in The Netherlands during World War 2. They lived in her grandmother's house, close to a forest where her father could hide if the Nazis came looking for him.
Stephanie has lived all over the world, in The Hague, the UK, Germany and France, setting up her jewellery business in the UK and The Netherlands in the 1960s. After moving to London in the 1970s, she founded a PR and marketing agency too.
After retiring, she decided to travel for ten years, visiting Bali, the US, Egypt, Burma and spent six months in a Zen monastery! She is now settled in Mallorca with her donkeys, chickens and dog.
