Tehila Refaeli is an Associate Professor in the Social Work Department at Ben-Gurion University, Israel. She is also the academic consultant of the "Fair chance for children" association and the young parenthood project in the city of Jerusalem. Her research examines transitions to adulthood among vulnerable youth, focusing on care leavers, inequalities and resilience using qualitative and quantitative methodologies. Tehila is a member of the International Network on Transitions to Adulthood from Care (INTRAC) and leads and participates in international research collaborations on leaving care. Her work aims to contribute to discussions on improving policies and practices for care leavers and other vulnerable youth. Varda Mann-Feder is a Full Professor in the Department of Applied Human Sciences at Concordia University and is the Graduate Program Director for Youth Work. She is known across Canada for her research on aging out of care and her advocacy on behalf of youth in placement and is the national representative to the International Network on Transitions out of Care (INTRAC). Varda worked for over thirty years as a psychologist in the English child welfare system in Montreal, providing training to Child and Youth Care workers across a range of programs. She currently serves on the board of directors of Care Jeunesse, the first bilingual youth in care network in Quebec, which she helped found in 2013.
