The’ang Teron Author

Vulli Dhanaraju is currently working as Professor in the Department of History at North-Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong, Meghalaya. He obtained his M.A., M.Phil., and PhD degrees in the Department of History from the University of Hyderabad, Hyderabad, India. He has written and edited several books on tribes and other marginalized communities, including Karbis. Currently, he is associating with the Centre for Karbi Studies, Diphu, Karbi Anglong, Assam, to document Karbi history and philosophy. His recent book, The Mythistory of Kajir Ronghangpi: The Making of Kaziranga National Park was published with Dharamsing Teron.

The’ang Teron is Research Associate at the Centre for Karbi Studies in Diphu, Karbi Anglong, Assam. He holds a BA (Hons) in Sociology from Delhi University and an MA in Folkloristics from the University of Tartu, Estonia. He is a doctoral fellow affiliated with Project MYTHOPOL in Religious Studies at the MF Norwegian School of Theology, Religion and Society in Oslo, Norway. Additionally, he contributes to the collective, theory from the Margins. His current work involves documenting and theorizing the cultural traditions of the Karbi people through music and writing.
