Tony Sales Author

Tony Sales is Britain's answer to Frank Abagnale - but in many ways his story is better. Over 20 years as a professional 'paperhanger', Sales was responsible for defrauding £10-£30 million from banks and shops. He was a confidence trickster on an industrial scale. The total cost, or 'damage' as it is known in the trade, to the corporations, finance houses and insurers 'whacked' by the former frock salesman is nearer £50 million. He now works for the government and major banks, advising about fraud and prevention.
