Urvi Sharma Author

Dr Urvi Sharma presently teaches at the School of Languages and Culture, Amity University, Punjab, India. She completed her PhD at the Department of English and Cultural Studies, Panjab University. She has co-edited an anthology titled "Simmering Silences and Beneath" on Gender Studies with an ICSSR-sponsored publication. She has guest-edited the 63rd issue titled "Decentering the Center" of Café Dissensus, a New York based alternative magazine dealing in art, culture, literature and politics. She has presented her research on various reputed platforms, including NeMLA, Bucknell Humanities Center, Johns Hopkins University, Jagellonian University, Panjab University. Dr Sharma believes that literature catapults our individual capability to make a change and help our society evolve. As Arundhati Roy says, "The writer's job is to speak the truth," our engagement with writers and their perception become crucial in driving that transformation.
