Valerie Bennett Author

Neville Bennett was chief fireman in Port Stanley during the Falklands War. He was originally trained as a dental technician, and worked as a policeman, hospital clerk and government storekeeper on the islands. His wife Valerie Bennett, MBE worked as a nurse and midwife in the Port Stanley hospital during the war. They both kept detailed diaries recording their experiences during the Argentine occupation and then the liberation of the islands by British forces. Their daughter Rachel Simons has edited their diaries for publication.
