Ruth Couture is a qualitative researcher withextensive experience in marketing research and participatory holisticresearch. She has authored research reports for the Mistissini Creeand, with Dr. Joseph Couture, for the University ofSaskatchewan’s Indigenous Peoples’ Health Research Centreand the Aboriginal Peoples’ Collection, Public SafetyCanada. Virginia McGowan is adjunct associateprofessor with the Department of Community Health and Epidemiology inthe Faculty of Medicine, Dalhousie University. She has been involved inapplied anthropology research on the health and well-being ofindigenous peoples for over twenty years.
