Yoshihiro Nishiaki is Director/Professor of the University Museum, University of Tokyo. He holds a PhD from the Institute of Archaeology, London, and is a member of the International Academy of Prehistory and Protohistory. His major research interests lie in the prehistory of West and Central Asia, particularly the origins and development of farming socio-economy and the replacement of Neanderthals by anatomically modern humans. Azad Zeynalov is a senior scientific researcher of the Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and Head of the Ganja-Gazakh Paleolithic Archaeological Expedition of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Yagub Mammadov obtained a PhD from Baku State University. While participating in numerous field projects of the Institute of Archaeology and Anthropology, he is also a lecturer at Khazar University specialising in the early prehistory and anthropology of the Caspian region.
