Yuri Belyaev Author

Yuri Belyaev is Professor Emeritus of the Department of Mathematics and Mathematical Statistics at Umeå University. He holds a PhD from the Steklov Mathematical Institute, Academy of Sciences, USSR, and a Doctor of Sciences degree from the Institute of Applied Mathematics, Academy of Sciences, USSR (supervisor A.N. Kolmogorov). He served as Head Researcher, Professor, and Head of the Laboratory of Probability at Lomonosov Moscow State University, which was founded by A.N. Kolmogorov. In 1998, he received the Nordbankens vetenskapliga Prize, and in 1978, he was honored as the Laureate of the USSR State Prize. His research focuses on stochastic processes, point processes, queueing theory, mathematical statistics, and others. He has been an organizer and plenary speaker at various international conferences and has served on the editorial board of different scientific journals, including "Mathematical Methods of Statistics" (Allerton Press Inc., USA), "Statistics" (Gordon and Breach Publishers, England), "The Oxford Dictionary of Statistical Terms," published by Oxford University Press. He has been elected as a Member of the International Statistical Institute (ISI), the Institute of Mathematical Statistics, and the Swedish Statistical Society. He is the author of more than 200 scientific papers and books, published in leading journals and publishers, and under his leadership have been prepared and successfully defended more than 25 PHD and 5 Dr.Sci., theses.

Asaf Hajiyev is a professor of the Institute of Control Systems, Azerbaijan, and a member (academician) of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences. He holds a PhD from Lomonosov Moscow State University and Dr.Sci. from N.Bauman Moscow State Technical University. He was awarded the Lenin Komsomol Prize in Science and Engineering and the Honorary Medal of the President of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. He is a Foreign member of the Moldova Academy of Sciences, Founding Member of the International Advisory Board of Sichuan University, Honorary Professor, Chengdu University, China; Honorary Member, Academy of Sciences of Moldova, Member of Mongolian National Academy of Sciences, Fellow of The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS). Elected Member of the International Statistical Institute (ISI). His research is focused on queueing theory, stochastic processes, regression analysis, and others. He was an invited speaker at various international conferences and universities. a member of the Editorial Board of scientific journals: Intern. Journal Applied and Computational Mathematics, Intern. Journal of Management Science and Engineering Management, Reports of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences. Co-editor of 16 books (Proceedings of International Conference on Management Science and Engineering Management) published by Springer. Author of 5 books and more than 180 articles. Under his leadership, 8 PhD and 3 Dr.Sci. theses were prepared and defended.
