Reading and Craft with Emily Mackenzie at The Portobello Bookshop

We're delighted to be welcoming local author and illustrator Emily Mackenzie to the bookshop on Saturday 11th May for a reading and craft session to celebrate the publication of her new picture book HELP! Ralfy Rabbit and the Great Library Rescue.

Come to the bookshop on Saturday 11th May and join Emily for a fun-filled interactive morning where children of all ages are invited to participate. Crafting supplies required for the event will be provided on the day. The session will last for around an hour in the bookshop and there will be a chance to get a copy of HELP! Ralfy Rabbit and the Great Library Rescue signed by Emily. What's more, there will be a limited edition print to be included with your book purchase, on a first come first served basis!

About HELP! Ralfy Rabbit and the Great Library Rescue:

Ralfy and his little brother Rodney LOVE reading – so when they hear that their local library is closing down, they know they have to do something. According to the librarian, it would take a magic dragon to save the library – so Ralfy, Rodney and their friends set off to find one! Will Ralfy find the magic dragon? Or is there – just maybe – another way to bring the town together and save the library for everyone? This gloriously illustrated picture book is an uplifting love letter to libraries everywhere, celebrating the value of community and coming together to save the things we love most! Also available in the Ralfy Rabbit series: WANTED! Ralfy Rabbit, Book Burglar BEWARE! Ralfy Rabbit and the Secret Book Biter.
