You can sign up to attend and collect a copy of Rainbow Cookies when you attend the event, and there's a free option available below as well. Morag will be signing and dedicating copies of the book on the day.

Please note that this Story Time event is suitable for children aged five and under. Children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian throughout the event.

About Rainbow Cookies:

Jenny's stuck indoors. She wants to play on the swings, but it's raining...

Luckily Gran has a sweet idea of what to do while they wait for the clouds to clear.

Bake yummy cookies!

On the way to the park, they spot something magical in the sky that makes Jenny want to sing.

A gentle story to share that introduces colours, counting and creativity to warm the heart.

Please note: Tickets for our events are non-refundable. Professional photography and videography may take place during this event (attendees' faces would not be shown). Thank you for your understanding.

Maggie Byrd Author

Maggie Byrd, a Scottish writer and mum of two, has crafted an uplifting and playful story that blends the warmth of family togetherness with key early years learning.

As a parent and teacher, Maggie understands the learning opportunity making things together can create. She has written a hope-filled story to share with younger children about how to brighten a rainy day. Rainbow Cookies cleverly mixes a heartwarming story with growth and development baked in.

Her gentle tale celebrates the simple joy of baking together. A story that she hopes parents, grandparents, and carers will enjoy sharing with little ones as they name colours, count, sing, and learn the value of ‘not yet!’

When Maggie isn’t in her garden, she’s busy thinking about her next children’s picture book. Watch this space!
