This book is adorable. The illustrations by the brilliant Chris Riddell are stunning right down to the end pages. My son and I loved looking at ghost trying to find a new place to haunt. Every time you look at the images you can spot something different, which in my opinion is the key to an excellent picturebook.
The storyline was unexpectedly sweet. From the title and the first couple of pages I thought it was going to be primarily about a cute ghost. Meeting the girl and having the theme of the book be about friendship and believing in yourself gave something extra to this story. Viviane Schwarz's writing is beautiful and is a perfect story to reread many times.
This is a gorgeous picture book all about friendship, finding your place and the power of memories. I loved the little ghost friend and how he empowered the young girl. This is gorgeously illustrated too. * NetGalley Reviewer *
