China. Present day. Lindon, an Australian project manager with a failed marriage behind him, is lured to the country with the promise of a more than lucrative salary. His task: to solve the problem of a 'nail house', the home of a stubborn old man who refuses to relocate. The house is now stranded, a small island of tradition stuck within a growing jungle of glass and steel. Even as the bulldozers move in and the skyscrapers rise around him, the old man refuses to move.

But when Lindon arrives to negotiate with the old man and his family, he finds sense where he had thought there would be nonsense, and love where he thought there would be war.
