Nic Madge Author

Nic Madge spent four decades at the heart of the English legal system - as a human rights solicitor and a Circuit Judge, presiding over serious criminal trials. He has written several authoritative legal books and contributed to numerous journals and publications. In parallel, he pursued an interest in historical research, particularly local and family history. He wrote English Roots: A Family History which examined social and economic history through the eyes of ten generations of one family. Since retiring from the bench, he has taught at the University of Westminster, the University of the Arts London, and King's College, London. He holds a second MA, in Documentary Photography and Photojournalism from the University of the Arts London. He is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and a member of the Royal Historical Society.
